Located in one of the most desirable areas of the Old Town, the apartment offers breathtaking panoramic views in three directions as well as access to the rooftop.

The interior is defined by bespoke furniture crafted from natural wood and marble, giving the home a distinctive and timeless character. The design has been carefully considered throughout, featuring elegant wooden floors, air-conditioning for year-round comfort, and a marble kitchen designed by Occo. The kitchen is centered around a statement island and a dining table accommodating 10 to 12 guests. High-quality Miele and Smeg appliances ensure both practicality and excellence in everyday cooking. The sanitary areas are finished in refined microcement and fitted with Villeroy & Boch sanitary ware, reinforcing the apartment’s luxurious feel.

The grand reception room is a true focal point of the home, with high ceilings and five large windows that create a bright and airy atmosphere while opening up beautiful views over the rooftops of the Old Town and the city skyline. The open-plan layout is ideal for both relaxed living and entertaining, featuring a large custom-made dining table paired with Pierre Jeanneret–style chairs and a stylish living area accented by a marble-topped coffee table.

Two elegantly designed bedrooms offer peace and comfort. One bedroom faces a quiet inner courtyard and features a French balcony, complemented by a designer writing desk and Pierre Jeanneret–style chairs. A second living room is furnished with a bespoke B&B Italia Camaleonda sofa, creating a refined yet comfortable lounge area. The spacious walk-in wardrobe benefits from natural light and smart storage solutions. The bathroom includes a generous walk-in shower, a Miele washing machine and dryer, and high-quality Villeroy & Boch fixtures.

The master bedroom is located on the upper level and accessed via a spiral staircase, providing a private and tranquil retreat. History

The plot at Suur-Karja 2 was already built upon in the 13th century. The first recorded owner was Thidericus Lange in 1360. Over the centuries, the property has belonged not only to distinguished merchants but also to three members of the Tallinn Town Council, one mayor, and one town councillor of Narva.

Originally, the building was a four-storey structure with a steep gable and a typical two-room floor plan, which remains clearly traceable today. At the same time as the Late Gothic residence was constructed, a granary was built along the street line. Most likely in the 16th century, a two-storey courtyard building was added to the southern side of the main structure.

In the 17th century, the buildings were extensively rebuilt, during which the granary and other courtyard structures were connected to the main residence. From this period, numerous historically valuable structural and decorative elements have survived, including six masonry staircases, wooden beam ceilings, interior portals, as well as painted beam ceilings and wall decorations.

The last major reconstruction took place at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, when the building was redesigned in a Neoclassical style. Some of the street-facing rooms on the second floor were reorganized into an enfilade layout and given corresponding interior decoration, including stucco ceilings, carved door leaves, window frames and wall panels, a grand staircase, and parquet-style floor finishes. The Neoclassical character is still reflected in the grouping of window openings and the restrained plaster decoration of the façade. Later alterations in the late 19th and early 20th centuries affected only the interior layout, which is now more finely articulated.

In 2007, the historic building underwent a careful and comprehensive restoration. During this sensitive renovation, all historically and aesthetically valuable details and structural elements were preserved, cleaned, and conserved, including several features that are extremely rare and unique in Tallinn. The appearance of the façades has remained almost unchanged and is still remarkably similar to how it looked more than 200 years ago.
