In winter, heating is needed morning and evening, more often during severe cold.
The fireplace provides instant warmth and is connected to a water boiler that heats
the radiators on the upper floor.
Approximate annual firewood usage is 5–6 m³.
If the fireplace is not in use, the boiler can also be heated with electricity.
An air-to-air heat pump is installed on the ground floor.
The sauna, bathroom, toilet, and entrance have separate electric underfloor heating.
Hot water is supplied by an 80-liter electric boiler.
