A unique loft-style 4-room apartment with 5-meter-high ceilings is now available for rent in a historic, renovated building.
The four-story building at F.R. Kreutzwaldi 10 in Tallinn was built in 1950, designed by architect Karl Burman Sr. In 2004, it was redesigned by the architectural bureau Agabus, Endjärv & Truverk and converted into a modern apartment building with contemporary amenities.
This apartment building, featuring a quiet inner courtyard, is located in the heart of the city’s vibrant center. Within a short walking distance are the city center, Kadriorg Park and Politsei Park, several highly regarded cafés and restaurants, as well as various sports facilities, shops, and Tallinn 21st School.
A blend of old and new. The building’s distinctive architecture accompanies you at every step. The light grey façade facing F.R. Kreutzwaldi Street is historically authentic and pleasantly understated, while the courtyard-facing side tells a completely different story—metal structures, mesh, and clean concrete surfaces. It is here that the building’s defining feature becomes clear: high ceilings, which are an integral part of the apartments’ character. Unlike many industrial-style developments, this is not a case of “living in a former factory.” Instead, the result is a unique architectural identity combined with the comforts of a modern apartment villa.
The apartment features an open, two-level layout. On the lower level, there is a large and bright living room/kitchen, an additional bedroom or office with dark glass walls, a toilet, and a hallway wardrobe. Large windows face F.R. Kreutzwaldi Street, offering views of Kadriorg’s greenery as well as notable examples of Burman’s distinguished architecture.
On the upper level, there are two bedrooms and a spacious bathroom with a bathtub. Special attention has been given to the lighting design, created by renowned Estonian designer Tarmo Luisk. Custom-made furniture designed specifically for the apartment is both functional and aesthetically cohesive.
The apartment includes two parking spaces in a gated courtyard and a spacious storage room on the ground floor. The building also offers a separate secure bicycle storage area.
